Modern Theory is operated by Marlo Labs LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit moderntheoryproject.com, place an order, or contact us.
Information we collect
We may collect:

- Order details, payment status, and fulfillment information.
- Information you send when contacting support.
- Limited technical and usage information, such as pages visited, browser or device details, referring pages, and campaign parameters.
- Browser-stored information used to remember your cart, marketing attribution, and purchase confirmation.
Stripe processes payment-card information on our behalf. Modern Theory does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Process payments and fulfill orders.
- Communicate about orders, support requests, refunds, and claims.
- Improve the website and understand which marketing channels bring visitors.
- Prevent fraud, resolve disputes, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not operate an email newsletter, abandoned-cart program, or account system.
Analytics
When enabled, we use PostHog Cloud to measure page views and basic funnel events such as product views, cart additions, checkout starts, and purchases. We do not use autocapture, session replay, Meta Pixel, or CAPI.
When we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the store, including:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Our fulfillment partner for shipping and order support.
- Hosting, database, analytics, and operational service providers.
- Government authorities or other parties when legally required or necessary to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.
Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill orders, provide support, manage claims, maintain accounting and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to information we must retain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or order-record purposes.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
